What is EFT

EFT is a powerful therapy that bridges counselling with acupuncture.

EFT or Emotion Freedom Technique is a powerful technique that is an amalgamation of the principles of traditional psychotherapy and ancient Chinese acupuncture. It is an emotional form of acupuncture, where instead of using needles on certain points on the body, the therapist gently taps on the end points of energy meridian points with their fingertips while focussing on the problem in a therapeutic conversation.

Whenever we experience a negative emotion or a limiting belief, it results in a disruption in the body’s energy system. The tapping helps to relieve blockages that are created when an emotionally disturbing or stressful event happens. It works on both the conscious mind and the subconscious mind leading to an effective and deeper healing.

EFT is a gentle, safe, non-invasive technique which works on creating long-lasting change. It is effective on a wide range of issues from stress, depression and trauma to addictions, phobias, physical pain and many more. A more comprehensive list of issues that can be worked on using EFT is given in the FAQ section under ‘what issues can EFT therapy help me with’.
